Moonbeams (Let Yourself Believe)

John E Dosher

As we brightly ride the moonbeams and fly into the night

Or sail across the ocean, counting stars, bathed in light

As we walk across the meadow with our feet above the ground

Love shouts at us like buried treasure but never makes a sound

Can you feel a gentle, rainy breeze when it blows against your face

And hear the birds singin’ love songs when they find their missing mates

Love’s calling out to you sayin, “Let Yourself Believe.”

If you believe there’s magic in the moonbeams

If you believe there’s magic in a rainy breeze

And if you believe there’s magic in the song of every bird

Then love is yours. Say, “Yes, I do believe.”

As you dance into the starry night and chase away the clouds

As raindrops bless your dream world and wash away your doubts

As you listen to the wind blowin’ past you waking up the trees

Love calls your name in faith and says, “Let Yourself Believe.”

If you believe there’s magic in a rainy afternoon

If you believe there’s magic in the wind blowing through the trees

If you believe in all the magic of the twinkling of a star

Then love is yours. Say, “Yes, I do believe.”
